Treatment for veterans should be comprehensive to kick-start a successful recovery journey.
Insomnia, depression, anxiety, flashbacks, and the desire to keep from feeling keyed up are symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder or PTSD, signs of a veteran struggling, which can lead to substance abuse. Transformations Mending Fences understands the mental health problems military veterans face. Our treatment center specializes in helping heal these issues and substance use disorders through our veterans rehab therapy program in Florida.

Military personnel put their lives on the line for our country. Yet they often can return home from their military service to a new battle of post-traumatic stress, which manifests in depression, anxiety disorder, phobias, and alcohol abuse or drug abuse. Many homeless veterans also suffer from substance abuse and need addiction treatment.
The opioid prescriptions given to treat disorders can be highly addictive. We want to help military members heal, recover from substance abuse and restore their lives.
According to the National Institute on Drug Abuse, the stress of military life may account for a higher-than-average rate among the population of substance use disorders, resulting in drug and alcohol addiction. More than one in 10 military members who seek help at the Department of Veterans Affairs showed signs of drug or alcohol addiction.
While obvious sources of mental illness come from trauma associated with having experienced sexual assault during military service, chronic pain from injury, death of comrades, and combat exposure, the pressures of training, deployment, and returning home are often overlooked. Still, they can also lead to drug and alcohol use disorder.
When it comes to battling substance abuse, the first step can be the hardest. At Transformation Mending Fences, we’re here to make that step easier for military personnel and veterans nationwide, from Dublin, GA, to Fargo, ND. Our first-rate treatment center in Morriston, FL, works with active duty members and veterans struggling with substance use disorders. We offer medical detox as a potential entry point into a recovery program and comprehensive dual-diagnosis treatment programs to treat co-occurring disorders.
The Help For Our Heroes Program is designed for military veterans by military veterans. Most case managers, therapists, healthcare providers, and group facilitators are veterans. They understand the post-traumatic stress disorder and life changes active duty service members and veterans can face. Regardless of how complex the disease is or how many times a vet has had to seek treatment for substance dependence, the goal of our treatment center is to help each vet heal and repair their life in an all-inclusive way.
We do this by recognizing and treating each client’s physical, mental and emotional health. We provide residential treatment, a partial hospitalization program (PHP), and an off-site addiction treatment program that handles drug and alcohol problems for male and female veterans 18 years and over.
No matter where you are, you’re never alone with Transformation Mending Fences.
